Around Port Au Port
Posted by derrick on July 8, 2008N48 49.3 W58 35.1 Lewis Brook. 84K On the water almost 12hours. Around Port Au Port and across to “mainland”. Lively following seas. Winds strong, some great surfing, linking one wave to the next. This section of coast is tall, rugged & fantastic!

Hi Greg, a group of us from Connyak will be camping in Dildo Run Provincial Park and paddling in the Twinlingate area 7/16 to 7/19. We’d love to see you if you are in the area at the same time (and if it does not mess up your schedule!). It looks like you are having a fantastic trip.

Just returned from a quick trip to L’anse aux Meadows (site of Viking settlement at tip of the Northern Peninsula). Saw lots of humpbacks off Green Island and Eddies Cove. Temperatures are unseasonably warm in Newfoundland right now. I know you’ll have an easier time staying cool on the water. Good luck with the following seas!!!
